Japanese Yakata: Beautiful & Helps Cope with Hot Flashes

Options

Hello once again sisters, I've been on Tamoxifen for about two years now and wanted to share a little discovery I made that can help make life a little more comfortable for those of us going through frequent hot flashes. Treat yourself to a yakata!

A yakata is a Japanese cotton summer kimono and they are absolutely wonderful for padding around the house. These are soft, comfortable, machine washable and they look beautiful too. They are wrapped like a bathrobe, so the layers help to keep you cozy, but unlike synthetics a yakata will 'breathe'. The sleeves and the whole design of the garment help with this too. They come in all kinds of beautiful fabrics and the sleeves serve as pockets where you can keep the waist tie when not in use. I love mine and highly recommend giving one a try if you are going through "personal summer" as my cousin calls it!

Below is my yukata. I am 5'-10" tall so I went with a 60" length mens yukata. The mens designs are just as beautiful as the womens and you don't need to be petite to wear these. They are readily available online, through Ebay and other sources. Here is the store where I bought mine:
