1 Year since diagnosis
One year ago today I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. What started out as Stage 3 wound up being Stage 1 after my Mastectomy.
In that year I have had 5 surgeries, 8 rounds of chemo, lost my hair, donned a pretty killer wig and had numerous tears, laughter and prayers along the way.
I never want to go through it again, but it has been one of the most positive experiences in my life.
I have a renewed passion for God, family, friends, and my surroundings.
I want to sincerely thank all of you who helped me get through it and thank God for letting me see a second grandchild be born, another fall, another snow, another year…
From every wound there is a scar
and every scar tells a story.
A story that says I survived.

Congrats and here's to many many more!!!
It is a hard time when you are done treatments and surgeries and doctors every other week. Once the rollercoaster stops you sorta look back and go what the hell just happened to me. You've been in a whirlwind of appointments and surgeries and now you feel like you are flapping in the breeze...now is the time to heal the emotional side of everything you've been through. It is not an easy time but everyone here will help you through it. None of it was easy and you should be so proud of all you've done and endured this past year!!
Good luck and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Diane
