Nausea and Radiation

I just started radiation two days ago on lower back.I battle nausea about an hour after radiation. Today I will take a phenergran before I go. First day was not bad, but second day really bad nausea. Tried phenegran after treatment did not help. Nausea wore off in about 3 hours. Is this normal?.
