any ideas what to do other than keep clean and change dressing often? Im using pads for it now

I used ABD pads when my wound was bigger and as it reduced in size used just guaze pads. It finally closed thanks to chemo.
I never needed any type of dressing (ie neosporrin etc) because it was never infected - I just cleaned it when I bathed and daily changed the dressing (my wound care nurse recommended to reduce changing the dressing to once a day - gradually -because every change/cleaning removed "good" layers too. -
