Read this just now and thought I'd post it for anyone interested.  Don't know anything beyond what this article says.

Trisha, I haven't read your links yet, but I do know from researching this myself that a lot of info on the 'net about DIM & I3C is written by a doctor who is a major principal in a company that manufactures DIM -- which, to my way of thinking, makes it unfairly biased from the get-go.  And your links look like they're to that same information.  (Google the name of the doc, and you'll see what I mean.)

I know there's one excellent article out there by Life Extension (albeit dated 2007, as I recall) that compares I3C to DIM and strongly favors I3C, which is what I use.  OTOH, I've been chatting with an integrative doctor who strongly favors DIM, although when I've tried it in the past it seemed too strong for me and gave me horrible joint pain.  So I think our personal reaction to either is also something we have to consider.    Deanna

Deanna, that's why I said I didn't know anything about either thing beyond what I read.  But it made me nervous enough that I figured I should post it in case there was anything to it.  Good point though about the doctor being a principal in the company!

I had already ordered the DIM before I saw your post.  Hopefully it does some good.
