Soc Sec Disab How Much Notice Given in Status Changed

Options

Hi All,

I'm on SSD for Stage III IBC.  I'm currently in remission from cancer but have cardiomyopathy and some other issues from chemo treatment.  I'm due for a reveiw with Soc Sec in a few months.  If they change my status because i'm in remission, how long will they usually give me before they cancel my insurance?  Anyone have experience with this?  I'm very worried about getting a letter and saying you have only 30 days or so.  How does someone obtain insurnace that quickly when i'm uninsurable? Will be very hard to find a job for my skillset modified by my medical issues in a short amount of time.  I'm very paniced and could probably calm down a bit if i at least knew what to expect.  Just seems everything is a mystery with the gove't. Any info apprciated.  THANKS

The information you and your Drs should provide for the review should be specific regarding how your disability continues to prevent you from working, assuming that is the case. It's not about remission, SE's from treAtment keeping you in remission can be very debilitating but you will need to carefully document that.

I don't know what the timeline is when someone's status changes back to being able to work.
