Node involvement not necessarily means to METS

I just read recently in "Cure" magazine that researchers and medical professionals believe statistics do not necessarily show that node involvement leads to METS.  I had 9 out of 13 nodes positive with some nodes matted.  I chose to have a lumpectomy, chemo and rads.  I have since been NED but of course I am concerned about recurrence.

I know I've read posts across the spectrum - no node invovlement and stage 0 as well as node invovlement with various stages and patients develop METS.

I just wondered if anyone else read the article.  I know often this disease does not make any sense.  I have CAT scans every 6 months now and mammograms every year but I don't trust those tests.  It's very difficult to explain to other people about fears of reccurrence - they just don't understand.  They make me feel paranoid but I know too much to feel like I'm home free.
