I came across this article on another website and thought I'd share with you all. Maybe some on you have heard of this and can elaborate, especially our Canadian friends....it's from the University of Alberta.

Thank you for posting this. I didn't know about it and looked it up in Pubmed - here is a interesting link that I am going to check out - LINK

Wiki has a lot of info on it...interesting.

I remember seeing something about this when I was undergoing chemo. They were just beginning the study then. Even Glenn Beck went all anti-capitalism for a moment and scolded the pharmaceutical companies for not developing a drug from this substance (I think there's a video on YouTube about it from his show, if I remember correctly).
Thanks for posting about this!

Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a LINK to a youtube.com video discussing this article. It goes along a little slow but is interesting. It seems to one of those things that is hard to sort out.

This seems to resurface every so often...see this link: HERE

thenewme - He is a good writer and explained things well I think, thanks. There appear to be a few clinical trials going on with DCA currently.

It's a damn shame that these big stupid drug companies can't do sh*t unless they make money from it. The US government, useless as they can be at times, should mandate drug companies to investigate this further!! I can't fkg believe there is a possible cure and no one is doing anything about it!!! URG!!! (AM PISSED OFF) That's the thing about major corporations, they only care about money.
-
You'd think the government would WANT to cure cancer since they voted for ObamaCare. Sure would save them money.
I too, have heard about it. An onc (not mine) said I should definitely do what I could to get it. I told my onc and he hadn't heard about and said he'd research it, but didn't seem impressed. I'm confused about the two different levels of enthusiasm, but I'd like to try it.

I sadly aggree with you ckgrayoh. I always thought that they do have a cure for us. But imagine all the money lost for them, the big companies, if they cured cancer..... Sadly, in the world that we live in,in the end, it's all about the money.
