This is my first time here having only joined today. My bilateral mastectomy with implant reconstruction was 11/28 with an unanticipated second surgery/ left implant removal on 12/21 due to infection. I am experiencing intense tightness/constriction of both breasts now and wondering how much iis normal. Doctors believe my infection was due to large amount of radiation to the left breast now 32 years ago and resulting scar tissue.

Thanks for anyone who can shed some light on this very uncomfortable condition.

HI Manatoana, Sorry to hear of the extra issues you are having.  I have to say, I've been very lucky with my uni lateral implant, no problems 2 1/2 years later.  But I have heard of these radiation/scar tissue issues.

I wanted to mention that there are some other Hodgkin survivors on the "High Risk Women" board, go back about one page and you will see the thread.   Maybe you can find some info there.

    Hi Manatoana,

I just wanted to let you know that if you don't get a lot of replies here,  you could try posting that in the Breast Reconstruction forum. There are hundreds of women there who could help you out, I bet.
