Weak finegernails

I finished my chemo last February and my Herceptin a month ago but my finernails are weak and chipping  with the slightest provocation.  Does anyone have any ideas how I can  grow stronger nails?  Anyne else with this problem?  The funny thing is that during chemo I had no problems with my finger nails.  Chmo only affected my toenails.  Go figure.

I heard a supplement called Biotin was good, for hair and nails. So I am taking that as I have thin hair and ridges in my nails. But the pharmacist says it takes a few months to see any results.

My nails got very thin on chemo, and I had a lot of problems with them breaking and splitting.  I am now using a product called Evonail that seems to be helping.  It's made in France and I found it by Googling the name.  It's not cheap, but worth it.  Good luck.

You can either increase the daily protein intake or you can buy a clear protein nail polish and apply it for 7 days in a row.
