Here I go Again
Hi
The short of it is, diagnosed Sept. 2005, Stage 3, 3 of 6 nodes positive, ER PR +, Her2 +, had three months AC and three months Taxorete, followed by mastectomy, radiation and one year of Herceptin. Recurrence May 2010 to one lymph node deep in the Pectoral muscle, had six months Taxotere followed by 5 weeks of twice a day radiation and currently doing Herceptin again. CT Scan in June 2011 was clear, CT last week shows the SAME lymph node is growing again WTH. I don't know until next week what if any plans there are for me. Already had radiation twice, I am sure they won't do that again, and my hair is just starting to look like it belongs to me again. SOOOO scared. Anyone have any knowledge, good or bad, or hope for me.

I am sorry about your reoccurrence. While I can't offer advice, I did want to share my support for you and also ensure this gets bumped back up so others in similar shoes can reply.

Hi Betsy... I also don't have anything to add... but I wanted to show my support... I assume they left that node in as was deep?? Can they try to get it out??

Betsy, l'm so sorry you're possibly dealing with a 2nd recurrence after so much tx already. I have no words of wisdom, but just wanted to say that I will be thinking of you and will pray that you get some good news about your situation. (((Hugs))) Deanna

Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement. I am so scared right now. I have found out that they are going to do some radiation targated boosts to the lymph node again. A bit scarry because it has been radiated before, but the radiation oncologist thinks that it may just clean it up. I imagine that they will be taking me off Herceptin because I suppose it is not working. Will keep updated and once again thanks.
