Cording and shoulder pain

Hi Ladies - Happy Holidays!

I have been having some issues with cording for a few months and finally starting seeing a lymphedema physical therapist about 3 weeks ago.  I travel for my job so she got me fitted and now I have a compression sleeve and I am doing exercises at home and seeing the therapist twice a week for MLD.

My question is about the shoulder pain I am having. I have some pain in my axilla and down my inner arm related to the cording but the worst pain is in my outer shoulder/outside aspect of my upper arm.  I can't lift my arm even to shoulder level without sharp pain in the outside part of my shoulder.  That is the issue that is really limiting my range of motion - not the pain in the axillary cord.  I also get sharp pain when I try to push down (to get up from bed for example).  Sometimes if I use my arm too much it just aches without any movement.  The PT said she thought I may have tendonitis but it is not getting any better with rest or Ibuprofen.  It seems to be in the muscle (I can press on a specific area and its painful) but massage doesn't help.

Did any of you have this type of pain because of the cording?  If yes what helped to relieve the pain?  My range of motion is really limited and the pain prevents me from doing much around the house.

I don't want to worry if this is just part of the cording issue but it seemed like my therapist thought it was unrelated.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
