Tykerb+Herceptin combo possible in Canada?

Dear Sisters,

I am a Her2 positive BC patients with mets to lungs and brain. My current treatment is Xeloda + Tykerb and I recently asked my onc if he can add Herceptin to my treatment plan and my doctor support the idea, but our local health system would not approve it. Is there anyone in Canada are using Tykerb and Herceptin in combination? suggestions and advice are appreciated.

    Thank you for your reply. I read on this board that so many American ladies are benefiting from this combo and my doctor actually also support the idea. However, we have to get the approval from provincial Healthcare. Will see how it goes.
