a little holiday cheer!

Ellie wakes up about 8.00am after her work party where she had a little too much christmas cheer.



She's feeling a little sorry for herself when she realises that she has a pap smear scheduled for 8.30!



Hubby is still sleeping so she creeps out of bed, no time for a shower! So she slips into the bathroom gives herself a quick wipe with a wash cloth on the counter, throws it into the laundry hamper and runs for the door, grabbing a sweater and sweat pants as she goes.



Somehow she gets to the clinic in the nick of time and the nurse calls her name as she walks through the door.



The nurse shows her to the table and turns her back as Ellie slips off her sweat pants and assumes the position. The nurse gets to the end of the table and shines the light, saying 'try and relax'.



The nurse coughs and laughs and says 'you all ready for xmas then!' Ellies thinks this is the nurses attempt at putting patients at their ease and mutters 'just about' in reply. The nurse finishes up and says 'well thanks for making so much effort' and Ellie thinks the nurse has guessed she just got out of bed and feels a bit embarrassed.



Anyway she gets home and the rest of the family are having breakfast. So she sits down for coffee and her little girl says 'mommy will you help me make that christmas card today for grandma?'



'course i will sweetie' says Ellie. 'we just need to get the paper and glue and glitter'



'ok mommy, the paper and glue are on the table but i spilled all the glitter'



' don't worry' says Ellie 'we can get some more'



'no need mommy, daddy wiped it up with a wash cloth and left it in your bathroom!
