I haven't had alot of moments that have made me laugh during the last six months of treatment. I had an experience last night which was totally embarassing, but hysterical in the same regard. Due to the fact that it happened after a minor car accident I was in, which was so unfunny.

I was in a small fender bender, minimal damage to my car and just scratches to the other. My airbag deployed and so my car had to towed as it won't start after an airbag goes...... Noone was hurt, the other guy in the other car was nice, the police were nice, the tow guy was even a peach. Called my mother to pick me up and give me a lift home...........

As we are exchanging insurance and niceties, my mother the lunatic comes running over from her car, and the first words out of her mouth are " Are your breast implants ok?". Not do you have a concussion, broken bones, etc., but how are your foobs? The looks on the faces of the others standing there were priceless. I felt the need to explain briefly my situation which didn't make my mom look like such a crazy person.

I am a bit horrified that the town PD and my auto body guy know that am 100% silicone, but otherwise, it was so absurd that I had to share.

My mother is in serious need of a muzzle. At least she is over trying to get me to show my new set to every friend and family member that comes through the door!

That is funny!  So glad you're okay.

Your story made me think of what happened to my DH several months ago.  He was hit from behind on his way home from work while stopped for a light in a long line of traffic.  The young woman who hit him was going the speed limit (55) and didn't even realize traffic had stopped.  We assume she was texting because there were no brake or skid marks.  Both cars ended up totalled, but, thank God, neither of them was injured. In her case, her recent (not bc related) boob job was the only thing on her mind -- afraid that the airbag might have injured them... had to get ahold of her PS, etc.  She seemed totally unfazed by the fact that she'd just wrecked two fairly expensive vehicles (her's was brand new and my DH's was a Porsche), and could have easily killed someone.  We still shake our heads when we think about it...   Deanna
