My original biopsy stated I was ILC. But my surgical report, based on the whole tumor tissue, says I am IDC with ILC growth pattern. Does this mean I am IDC or ILC?? I meet with the MO this Wednesday and can get this cleared up then, but thought I'd "ask the experts" here first.

Thanks all! Smile

I got the answer today and my interpretation of the surgical report was correct. I am actually IDC, not ILC. The core needle biopsy was done on a small piece of the tumor which had ILC characteristics. But when they looked at the whole tumor it was IDC. MO said it didn't matter as treatment would be the same. Still, word to the wise: don't rely on partial information.
