No news can be GOOD news....
It's snowing in Texas!!! Got about 5" out there right now.
My pain disappeared in two days, after hurting really bad last weekend. I think it was sciatica too...I'm watching it. MRI on my eye on Weds and Onc and Radiation Onc visit on Thursday.
Hugs to all!
-
Marybe, Hope you've been able to enjoy your weekend. Waiting for results can be so stressful. Maybe good that you were away at your dad's. Glenna

From a lurker who has come to love and admire Marybe...
There is no part of me in which I can imagine you in the depths of despair! Your fun, funny, frantic, fantastic, rarely fatalistic but never fearful, fabulous, and occasionally (dis)functional personality shines through every post I have ever read of yours. Wishing a big fall in numbers for you.

I want to be Marybe when I grow up!!!

Ok, I heard nothing in the morning so this afternoon I called and left a message with the nurses voice mail, told them the usual stuff they want to know, birth date, day of test, Dr.I see and said to please leave the message on my cell phone, that I was at work and could not get to the phone even if I heard it and would not listen til after I had finished in case it was bad, But not to be afraid to tell me, that I was prepared. So when I finished up for the day, I honestly did not know if they had called or not since I did not hear the phone so I played my message and here is how it went. Marybe, This is Polly re your CA 27.29, which was done on the 10th, No, it wasn't the 10th, it was done on Wed. the 10th was when they ran the results. Ok, Hold on to your hat, Are you ready for this one, the results were 4,041...that's 4.041. If you have any questions, call me back. Call me back anyway. But I was unable to call her back because the switchboard closes down at 5:00 PM, but I know she was happy and am sure she shared the news. I could hear the big smile she had in her voice.
So that is my news, ladies. That means they went down over 2,000 points since the last time....that means they went down that much in three weeks. And to t hink, when I said to him We are going to do the tumor markers arent we ? and he responded I thought we were going to forget about those numbers for awhile and I said Today is #10 so that means I have completed 9 and that is 3 full cycles of Adriamycin so I want to do them and he nodded OK. I bet he is happy we ran them now. And me, well, I am happy, happy, happy. Thank you for all your prayers and warm thoughts and waiting this one out with me.
Wed. I get my endoscopy and colonoscopy done and then that afternoon chemo. I won't see the onco and am seeing a new PA, but sure do hope he got the news today. I am going to take them home made fudge tomorrow and any Valentine cookies I am able to finish tonight. Then I will work on the butts for the doctor doing my colonoscopy tomorrow night. I won't be eating anything tomorrow since I will be doing my prep. I hope we get this acid reflux issue cleared up because I need to go out and celebrate!!!!
So now I think I am going to live awhile and am going to give Ron the OK to start doing the rest of the renovations at my Dad since this means I am going to be in good enough shape to have a BIG birthday bash for my Dad's 90th. I called him tonight and he said he will sleep a lot better now. I may also put off the SS for awhile and just keep on working since both offices are so good about allowing me to take time off, and I am going to take time off and get started on my traveling.
Love to you all, The news was worth the waiting over the weekend, although I had my doubts. Marybe
