Just looking for your thoughts

I'd like to get your thoughts about my most recent oncology visit.  I was originally dx'd in 8/06 w/DCIS w/microinvasion, Grade 3, ER-/PR-, Her+++.  0/9 nodes +. Had a lumpectomy and 35 rads.  I had one false alarm 1 year out when mammogram showed calcifications near incision.  Had biopsy; turned out to be negative, thought to be a result of radiation.  Other than a minor lymphedema issue and intense itching in the treated breast, it's been pretty uneventful since.  I had my annual mammogram mid-October and it showed no abnormalities, blood work was fine also.  I had my annual exam w/oncologist last week and she finds a lump in both breasts.  She tells me not to flip out and to come back in 3 weeks and if they are still there she will do ultrasound and we will go from there.  I don't feel a thing, even when she tried to guide me to what she was feeling.  I gave up on self breast exam years ago as they always felt different and I wasn't sure if it was just scar tissue.  The funny thing is that I had my gyn the same day and he felt nothing.  I'm trusting she (onc) knows what she's doing, but it's put me on edge a bit.  Thoughts?

Since you just had your mammogram, if the oncologist is feeling anything more likely than not that it is cyst.  Same thing happened to me - it was a complex cyst.    Good luck
