 wrote the Mods about Fuzzy being absent-----they have a system ---------we have to learn it. Our Mods are wonderful. They will modify the system to however it takes to help us.

Mods response:

We find that many members have a sort of buddy system in place where they'll exchange real-life email addresses and/or phone numbers with one or more members in the areas where they're usually active. Also, they'll leave log-in information with a trusted family member or close friend, with instructions to let their pals on BCO know if they're MIA.

One of our long-time members, nowheregirl (formerly Timtam), also runs a Central Address Book for members at every stage. You can read all about it and get info on how to be listed, here:

I have to say that lately I feel conflicted. I'm starting to feel somewhat better after my surgery but going back to work scares me. First, I know everyone will be staring. Not that I had huge boobs before I left, but now they're tiny... Also, not everyone knew what what was going on before I went out but now that ive been out for weeks, the word has spread and the word "cancer" is now attached to me. I don't really want to face it. Will it be awkward? Will people ask questions? Will they ignore me? Will they act like nothing happened?



Anyone no been in this situation! How did it go?

I searched around in my old emails with Fuzzy, it all happened late last summer like this, two months she was away, it was a computer thing, but anyway she gave me her cell.  I will call her this afternoon and if I get her or if I don't, I'll let you all know what happened.  I had totally forgotten I had her number, but like an idiot, I didn't give it to her, which of course I will this time.  GG

POSTCARD FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE SHIT PILE (a fable) LOL

I am chest deep (well....a little deeper on the left side...HHAAHAHAAA) for weeks protecting myself from abuse. Its been brutal and the outcome is certain. But....ya all know its guna be a battle like no other. Afterall....IVE GOT ALL MY SISTERS!!!!!!



So...I'm up from 6am until at least midnight. But...today....I took a hug from each of you and I'd like to give you one back.

until they or I get to the top of the pile...the shit storm goes on.

I have to try to sleep now...but tonight, I have a smile!

Lauren -  I work from home so cannot relaate to THE workplace, except I am out in my world everyday and I tell EVERYONE I meet that I am going through a cancer challenge, five, ten, fifty years from now I want them to have no doubt as to what a miracle I am. 

Now, for yougoing back, I can only imagine how much fun it would be to think about what it was like going back to work after your honeymoon..... everyone KNEW what you did for two weeks, how horrifying that might havebeen then, aat least it wasfor me.  Now fast forward to older and better and sassier, and what attitude would you like to have had back then, you could use it now, maybe?

Lauren - I too feel the same way about work - going back in two weeks - but what I did was I went back to the office to visit the other day and everyone was so happy to see me - I think that made it easier for me when I start back to work - of course, I know it will be awkward still but I think it will make it easier.  Also I am going to start back up part time- I am telling my boss it is doctor's orders so that I can ease back into it.  When I walked into work,I had an upbeat attitude (even though I was nervous) and that put everyone at ease.  It is the anticipation that is the worse part.  I understand.

OHHHHH, NANCY & SHEILA, can you believe our FUZZY, sweetest Fuzzy, has dropped in to say hello???  It was late in the afternoon that I finally called, it was divine to hear her most sophisticated voice.  I'm just over the moon about her coming back in here and FINALLY making a personal appearance!!!  I think we should have a parade!  I want a parade, with balloons and cotton candy and the bands and honor guard and flags!!!  I LOVE YOU FUZZY, and I love all our sisters for giving our girl Fuzzy a wonderous welcome!  And Fuzzy Baby, don't you know, you're a FIREWORK!!!  Love, Gail
