Nice horse craze-E!
I rode yesterday. The wind was howling and it was about 90. Not a fun ride. I quit early.
Today the wind was howlimg and it was only about 40. Tonight it's supposed to snow.
Hopefully this is the last hooh-rah for winter. -
Craze-E, he's beautiful. I would love to hear more about him!

Welllll...since you asked.... ;-)
He's a 16.1H Hanoverian/Oldenburg cross. He has some serious dressage AND jumping genes in his pedigree and shows a talent and love for jumping, though he's also a great mover. He could go either way, I think.
He's VERY sweet but you have to earn his trust. He's also easily bored so keeping him focused during endless jogs around the ring is a challenge. He's been under saddle since January and hasn't bucked or even hinted at bucking, though he did run away with the assistant trainer once. Oops. The trainer tells me he'll jump anything they put in front of him and, though he still has difficulty paying attention and "locking on" to the jumps, he hasn't refused anything. It's the boredom factor again - I've seen him free-jump 4' with ease and continue doing it on his own but he turns up his nose at the little 18" and 2' jumps.
Here's his "for sale" video, taken about a year ago.

Hello fellow horselovers. Today is Preakness day. I sure hope Orb wins so we have a chance at a Triple Crown winner this year. It blows my mind that Secretariat still holds all three track records! What an incredible horse he was. We always watched the races growing up on TV and my grandparents usually made it to the Preakness and watched it live. I still remember as a little girl watching the incredible Belmont win. I thought Orb's win in the Derby was pretty spectacular on a messy track but I guess we will see today if he has what it takes to take the Preakness. Go Orb!
