No screening till 50..give me a break!

This is driving me nuts! No screening till 50?....everyone here in the United States got that out of their system two years ago...and now I hear it is the same issue coming out of Canada...are people insane. If I had to follow that rule...I would be one dead woman. The surgeon who did my biopsy, says he diagnoses 4  women a week in their forties. My college friend diagnosed at 29...wake up people! I was 46 at the time of diagnosis..so angry that some will fall thru the cracks because of idiots.

FWIW, it was a case of  legislation requiring coverage of screening mammograms beginning at 40 that ended the discussion in the US.  

The guidelines might be making their way into implementation in the US otherwise.
