Hello beautiful ILC ladies - I just posted on the Stage 3 board and I had to come here too! I don't come on here much these days but on my anniversary I want to share the good news! I just had my 6 year checkup and all is fine....WOOHOO!! I had a large ILC tumor and 8+ nodes involved.....but here I am well and thriving and getting on with my life 6 years later. This site was a lifesaver when I was first diagnosed. It's a hard road but it does get easier. Make sure you use these boards as much as you need to.....nothing is trivial at all!! We all get it! Love and hope and hugs to every one of you. xoxoxoo

Great to hear Peggy. From what I have observed, that TAC chemo is good stuff for us ILC girls.

Hi again Peggy. May I ask you a question: Do you drink alcohol?

Congratulations and thanks for coming back here to share your news.

Perhaps there is something we can learn from you. Did you make any lifestyle changes, diet, exercise, alcohol etc.

Hi - I did make sime lifestyle changes but there is still lots of room for improvement. I do work out now and then (not regularly) but I took up hiking and try to do that every couple of weeks. I also take Calcium and vitamin D supplements, and joined a Dragonboat team which really helps with the exercise and also the support. I try to eat well but I am not obsessed with it. I have 2-3 glasses of red wine per week and if I'm out somewhere I will certainly have a couple of drinks. I was on Tamoxifen and now on Aromasin. That's about it really. I am no poster child for lifestyle changes - not as much as I should!

Good luck to you all. CoolLaughing  xoxoxoxo

Dear Peggy congratulations! Thank you for sharing and offering inspiration and hope.

Your message is heartwarming, especially to those like me just beginning this most unwelcome journey.

I love how your adventurous spirit shines through your posts and though I'm not sure what dragon boat team is, it sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm sure I am quite a bit older than you, but if it means being out on the water that would be for me. Looking ahead to spring, getting through treatment, and being able to kayak.

    Have a great day-hugs-Laura
