Ok. So I am not going to lie, I am sitting here in a panic because I am one week away from finally getting health insurance and having someone look at my breast which has gotten larger, has dimpling underneath, is heavy in weight with a smallish rash as well. I posted questions about pre-exsting conditions and I was informed that if no diagnosis had been made in 6 months prior then I can not be denied according to HIPPA. My breast has been changing over the past month and I know time is of the essence. My husbands insurance kicks in, and I am scared they might come back and say "well you saw you had something but did nothing" so that is considered pre-existing if you noticed issue but was not actually diagnosed?

Also, I want to schedule a mammogram right away but I read they don't detect IBC. I made an appointment with my old GP for the second day the insurance goes in to effect. He is an old guy and I am not sure what direction he will send me in, apparently I need a referral because of my past breast issues (fibrosystic) according to the Breast imaging center. So my question is, do I go in there show and tell him about my breast.. ask for a mammogram and at the breast center show them my sysmptoms. . . which is clearly seem like IBC, or do I make my own appointment for a mammogram, play dumb when I make it so I can get in as a regular screening and then say I just noticed this??? I need to get in soon and I am scared my GP will delay it.  As paniced as I am right now I can not rush out to the ER, but I am scared waiting one more week will make it spread if it is IBC and supposidly agressive. I need insurance to get the best options out there so will one more week do harm? Any suggestions?? PLEASE HELP

Sorry this was a long winded paragraph. .
