    Let's scream!

    (((fitzdc))) hugs!

I'm fighting a bug or something that makes me want to hurl, and I have no good excuse as I'm not on chemo. And I'm tired and achy. That's all okay, but I want to punch somebody about the communication breakdown between HR and my surgeon. I don't care who dropped what ball where, but I have been back to work for FIVE weeks and somehow HR is making it my problem that they don't have the medical clearance for me and are eversoworried that I may need some accommodation to return to work safely. They were not worried when they were badgering me about whyisittakingsolongtoseethedoctor????? Now "we appreciate your efforts to return to work promptly but..." I can't fix a problem if I don't know I have one and nobody even told me there was a problem until last week.

Had robotic ooph last Thursday, one incision still a bit painful-how can a teeny 1/2 in. slit be such a bother? Relative to everything else I've been through with this nasty bc, I can't complain...

Spunky, think of a paper cut, it hurts so much for such a little cut. Same thing. LOL

Sorry today was rough for some of you. Other people can be so frustrating sometimes. Remember to go easy on yourselves. Heal well Spunky!

    Take care everyone.

Hi everyone :) So many of us are looking at additional surgery dates. I knew it was coming in Dec too, but was focusing on one thing at a time. I'm past my half way point with chemo, so now my mind is on June 14th, my BMX. Thank you to everyone here that shared their experiences. I'll have phase 1 of micro fat grafting on the 14th, then 2 more minor surgeries and a ooph hopefully by next Dec. I promised myself that I wouldn't wish this year away, but enjoy it because life is too fragile to fast forward through any of it. But....I will be very happy when I don't have a surgeryy marked on a calendar

It appears "something" has come loose. I have a sharp object protruding from my foob at about the 2 o'clock position. My BS saw it when my onc asked her to look at it at an appointment about 6 weeks ago. The BS said it looked like a suture got loose and to call if it poked through. Silly me, I thought, based on her response, that it was no big deal and would return from whence it came. It hasn't, and now it's painful-it actually woke me up a couple nights last week. I called BS office today and I'm going in tomorrow a.m. No idea how they're going to fix this-anyone ever hear of such a thing?  Thanks!

Cookie, our surgery is the same day, tomorrow. Mine is at 7:15 am I'll be thinking of you. Is this related to your Dec surgery?

Spunky I haven't heard of that but keep us posted after you appt tomorrow.

Anyone still feel stomache bloat since dec surgery? Right under my ribs blew up and it's not going down...what the??

Another surgery sister, Bogie!  Mine is at 7:30 am, but I'm on the west coast so I'll actually be 2 hours behind you, I think. I'll just be arriving when yours is beginning.

Mine is Stage II of my DIEP - they're reducing the DIEP breast which the PS left bigger than wanted in case of rads (that I didn't end up getting), and removing the "dog ears" (extra skin at the ends of the abdominal scars) which are small, but he says they're easy to take care of.

I sometimes feel bloat but not all the time, I think things are coming and going, I think we just have to give it time to settle and then decide if anything needs to be done. Some say as much as 6 months to a year.

Spunky - that sounds painful and not fun - I hope it gets better and turns out to be a really pesky suture.

    OMG! The Post-BMX Bloat!!!

I looked about 8 months pregnant after my surgery.

That was right about the time I measured my chest for whippetmom's thread and came up with 39".

I though that was awfully big compared to what I was reading, but just figured it was because I was overweight.

But a few months later, at the same weight, I re-measured myself and got 34" !!!! I had been blown up like a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Ballooon!!!

I've been on Optifast for two weeks. Only now am I noticing the abdominal bloat reducing. Sheesh!

Bogie and Cookie-hope all went well today and you are now resting comfortably.

Went to see BS today. She wasn't 100% sure what the protruding object was, and said "we" usually let these things work their own way. I reiterated how painful it could be and that it had been 8 weeks since I first noticed it and she agreed to try to remove it. She biopsied the spot-she said she removed a nodule (not sure what that is) and was having it sent out to be tested. Hopefully that was what was poking out-can't tell right now, because it's all bandaged up. Not sure what it's being tested for as I had a BMX. We'll see.

    Have a good evening everyone.
