Tamoxifen - all done and moving on

I searched for a thread with this particular topic but found posts mixed in with current Tamox users. I really want to get the impressions of those who used it and now are done with that phase.

I just finished my five years on it last night - yippee! Maybe some of the SE's and benign but irritating health issues I have faced will now abate. Time will tell.

Anyone else feel its a catch 22 - yay to be off it if you had SE's but now that "insurance" is gone? I have read the latest studies about the effects as far as prevention lasting another 5 years, which is a comfort. But is there anything else I should be telling myself or doing so I can move forward and not feel like I've just lost something that helped me so much?

Congratulations on being done! I am still in the middle of taking it, so don't have anything to say about finishing up with it, other than to feel some envy
