Radiation and Regional recurrence after Mastectomy

I have had a recurrence of cancer on the left after a 1995 mastectomy with negative nodes (HER-2 positive). I have a new cancer on the right T1c,N1 mastectomy 2011 with 1 negative node 8 benign. Radiaiton Oncology is now saying I still need Radtion on the right side in addition to the left. Has any one ever faced this?
