How long do I wait?

Options

Need sound advice please.  A week ago I became very aware of a pain in one area of my femur.  Since I had just worked out I kind of blew it off.  Then later in the week I had a massage to help release scar tissue on my lower hip from sgap surgery.  Normally if I am sore from that it is more in my hip / butt area, but that night I was very aware of continued leg bone pain.  This weekend I knelt down on the floor to play with my dog and when I got up had shooting pain in the femur.  Today I am to work out again with my trainer but I will not do leg work.  So my question is - how long should I wait before I have this checked out?  And if I do get it checked out do I call my oncologist??  Thank you!

I would think with your exercise schedule it could easily be a pulled muscle or something.  However, I wouldn't wait - you are only going to sit and worry and that isn't good for you.  Call your onc and see if he'll set up a scan.  Good luck!

Thanks CoolBreeze. I'm trying not o over react but at they same time my mind is saying what if? In looking around here more if seems that 2 weeks is a safe bet so I'll just cool my heals for a few more days.

Journey, this very thing just happened to me in August. Leg bone pain. My oncologist always tells me to call for any pain lasting 2 weeks as you have already mentioned. She ended up ordering a bone scan for me and everything was clear. By the time I had the bone scan done the pain was actually fading. But the scan certainly eased my mind! Don't know what caused the bone pain except maybe side effects to Tamoxifen were flaring up.
