Dear all!

Do you think foot massage is a good complimentary treatment? Is it good for breast cancer patients? Can massage contribute to full recovery? Please share your thoughts with me!

Thank your very much

Absolutely beneficial for blood circulation, relaxation and healing.  I had several reflexology sessions while I was doing rads (actually provided along with healing touch massage at hospital where I had my RT done), and I think they can greatly enhance your sense of well-being, as well as helping you sleep better.    Deanna

Reflexology is wonderful for anything and everything. There are 7200 nerve endings in each foot which correspond with all parts of the body. My advice would be to make an appointment with a few different reflexologists. It is nice to try different providers. The service should be about the same but they all have a different "touch".

Also drink a lot of water after your session to help remove the toxins from your body.

    Best of luck...relax and enjoy!

I am all for any kind of massage as an immune booster.

I don't know if it stimulates an immune reponse, but it sure makes me feel better. I figure anything that relaxes me must be doing my system some good.

I got reflexology, accupressure treatment done on my feet recently, and it absolutely put me on the path to healing a case of Plantar Fascitis I had been dealing with for over 15 months...... it's definitely beneficial!

I don't think they're all really trained in reflexology, so you have find a reputable one to patronize. They're popping up all over my area like nail salons. Typically run by Asians, but they use male massueses. $15 for 30 minutes. I tried one with a friend who does a lot of cycling. She adored the treatment, but I found it a bit too rough.

I agree with this. Plus, if you're in a situation where you don't want a full body massage (shortly after surgery?) you can get relaxation via reflexology!
