3 D Mammography

Have any of you had a 3D mammogram? My doctor suggested I have one next time and I'm not sure what to expect. As far as testing is it the same as a regular mammogram (that is, squished between two boards)? Are there a lot of false positives? or false negatives? Does it take any longer to get results?
