Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian BC sisters. In times of hardship it is hard to think of things to be thankful and grateful for but...we all have something to be thankful for even if we are not where we imagined we would be at this phase of our lives. Young or old...maybe it's not what we hoped for but we can still be thankful for something(s) in our lives.

I am sincerely grateful for all of the support and friendship from all of my fellow Canadians, our American sisters and for all of our BC sisters around the globe. I am thankful to BC.org for this tremendous site full of information and sisterhood. I am thankful for my family and friends and the many aquaintances that have crossed my path.

Best to all

Beth

    TWAS  THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
    BUT I JUST  COULDN'T SLEEP.
    I TRIED COUNTING  BACKWARDS,
    I TRIED COUNTING  SHEEP.

    THE  LEFTOVERS BECKONED -
    THE DARK MEAT AND  WHITE,
    BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION
    WITH  ALL OF MY MIGHT.

    TOSSING  AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION,
THE THOUGHT OF  A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION.
SO, I RACED TO  THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR,
AND GAZED  AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES  GALORE.
GOBBLED UP TURKEY  AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS,  BEANS AND TOMATOES.

I  FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO  ROUND,
'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE  GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING,  FLOATING INTO THE SKY,
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF  PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED  TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES....
HAPPY  EATING TO ALL - PASS THE CRANBERRIES,  PLEASE.

    MAY YOUR STUFFING  BE TASTY,
    MAY YOUR TURKEY  BE PLUMP.
MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE  NARY A LUMP.
    MAY YOUR YAMS BE  DELICIOUS.
MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE  PRIZE,
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF  OF YOUR THIGHS!!

    HAPPY    THANKSGIVING   TO   ALL

Thanks Linda...cute poem. Sad to say I am feeling plumper and rounder by the day and I haven't even had my turkey yet! I blame it on Aromasin but in reality...it's ..laziness. I will indulge this Thanksgiving weekend and then get back in control...I hope.

It was a spectacular Autumn day here in Alberta but I do miss my east coast maple trees at this time of year.

    Cheers

    Beth
