Does anyone know about IDC and hepatitis C?

My 1/2 sister finished treatment for IDC with lumpectomy and radiation.  She is 10 years younger than I am and just wants to be " as healthy as she can be and as rid of both as possible" She wants to be treated with the new protocol for hepatitis C with ribivirin,(sp?) interferon and a protease inhibitor. which has a high success rate.  I wonder if anyone else knows about this and if it will increase her chance of recurrence of BC  Has anyone had both?  Her Dr is not sure. but said that interferon is used for cancer and would not be a problem. He does not know about the others.  Does have experience, or knowlege about this?
