I just saw the film 50/50 last night, which is about a 27-year-old man, Adam, coping with a serious cancer diagnosis.  Adam is dealing with the reactions of his family, friends, and girlfriend along with his own fears and sometimes less than warm support from his medical team.  Given I'm a Stage I cancer and my medical team only communicated a positive prognosis to me, I never felt afraid for my life in the way Adam did.  Yet, I've had a strong emotional reaction to the film and am curious how other women who have been or who are being treated for cancer feel about the film.  If you've seen the film, how true is it to your experiences?  Did the humor bother you?  (I thought it added to the poignancy of the film.)
