Just wondering

Options

Why are there three seperate forums for metastatic disease? I get the "worried" forum, (I think) but why is there a seperate section for "just diagnosed" and another for "Stage IV'? I'm wondering why it's necessary to wade through two different forums for the same information. Not sure if this is the right forum for questions, but it's the closest I could find, if it's wrong, I'm sorry. Does anybody know of a site that deals strictly with metastatic disease? Not that I don't like this one, but it seems kind of weird with the two sections. I guess I'm just looking for a place that has all the metastatic info in one place.

    Dear annafrederik,

Thanks for your input and this is a good place to share your thoughts.

The Just Diagnosed forum is a forum that is for people with all different stages of breast cancer who are dealing with a new diagnosis. Sometimes when members are new to the boards they will post in this forum initially.

The Stage IV forum focuses strictly on metastatic disease. Given the type of information and support you want, the Stage IV forum is the probably the best forum for you.

    We hope this helps

Thank you for your response. Still getting used to the place so any info is helpful. I guess I wasn't clear though. What is the difference between "Just Diagnosed with Metastases" and the "Stage IV" forum. It seems the two are the same, I mean except for the timing of your disease and I'm not sure if I'm welcome on both, or at all for that matter. Please don't take my comment on your discussion board personally....I'm guess I'm just looking to get together with women in my same situation.

Anna Ithink you want the Stage IV forum. The just diagnosed forum is also for recurrence not just mets but I think everyone who posts there is directed to one of the other forums (i.e. I-II, III, IV etc).

    Thanks reesie for your post.

We agree that the Stage IV forum is the best place for you to post and discuss.
