Hang in there, Barrie.  I am so very sorry you have to join the team that no one wants to be on, but know that we are here for you.  Sounds like you have a good plan set up for you.  I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, and pray that her treatment goes well.  I also wish you a good journey with your treatment, and an uneventful one.  I had 4 DD A/C and one Taxol, from which I developed neuropathy immediately, so they switched me over to the remaining three doses of DD Taxotere.  Unfortunately, I didn't have an easy journey with mine - every dang side-effect known to man, but I survivied it and now, looking back, am glad I stuck it out.  My onc kept telling me you only have one chance at killing this beast, so go through whatever you have to to kill it.  All we can do is hope - but it helps to know we did all we could.

Come on over to the "Calling all TNs" thread - that is where we spend most of our time.  The ladies are the finest human beings you will ever find, and will make such a difference in your life.  We are all different stages, ages and circumstances, but all share a bond that can't be made with any one else but another "sister."

Hugs to you and mom, Barrie,

    Linda

Hi barrie, sorry you are here but you will get great support. I am also triple neg and brca1 positive. This is my second time with breast cancer, right breast 8 years ago and then diagnosed in April of this year. I did not do genetic testing until this time around. I would suggest doing it because it can help with your treatment decisions. If I would have tested 8 years ago I probably would have done bmx instead of lumpectomy. Please feel free to ask any questions. I have a strong family history also.
