LCIS and radiation?

Stereotactic biopsy found LCIS. Doc is recommending excision AND radiation (4-6 weeks). Anyone have experience or advice on the radiation recommendation particularly? Thanks.

did your pathology report mention anything else besides the LCIS? I ask because radiation is not usually recommended for LCIS (by itself). I would encourage you to get a 2nd opinion. The standard recommendation for LCIS is close montiroing, tamoxifen or BPMs.
