Itchy Breast

Lumpectomy almost 4 years ago.  The past six months have found me sratching the snot out of my breast (BC one) across the scar and on the nipple (scar is directly above the nipple).  It itches ALL the time.  Sometimes the nipple also has a shooting pain coming out of it.  I do not have a rash, it is not swollen, nor is it hot.  I find it hard to believe if it was an allergic reaction that only one breast would itch.  Thoughts?

    You could be like me and only have the one symptom. All I had was a slight red blotchiness on one breast and finally got my IBC diagnosis. Check out the signs and symptoms of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) at www.eraseibc.com. You don't have to have ALL the syptoms of IBC to have IBC. The best thing is to try and get IBC ruled out since it's so aggressive.

    It's a good idea to get it checked out. Six months is too long to be itchy on your scar.
