Metformin and Taxol synergies

Anyone already on Metformin and having to do chemo should read this and be reassured that Metformin may make Taxol more effective:

There are already clinical trials underway studying the use of metformin in place of an AI or Tamox.  The idea that Metformin attacks cancer stem cells is something I have read about during the past 15 months.  I have been taking a small dose for years for diabetes, but my current dose (2000 mg a day) along with Taxol gives me hope that my risk of recurrence may be significantly lower than most "statistics" would otherwise indicate.
