Newbie needs help
I'm new to this site and am having some trouble de-coding all the abbreviations. Is there a section that shows what these all mean? Thanks for the help everyone.

This should help. It is all pretty overwhelming at first.

Thank you jacee. I tried the link you provided but it says Page Not Found. I'm doing a search for abbreviations but haven't found anything so far. Appreciate your help, though.
-
Never mind. Found it with the search engine!
-
sorry, don't know why it didn't work. Glad you found it. Anything you can't find, just ask as far as abbreviations go. Someone will help:)
-
Thank you!

Thanks for your speedy help, jacee! I've made a tiny edit to the URL you posted to make it clickable. annafrederik, glad you found the abbreviations with Search!

I know I should be starting my own thread, but that's my problem. I can't. I can get the heading typed, but the cursor won't come on in the body of the post area. I can post to an existing thread but I can't start my own thread. Is this a restriction on me because I am a newbie, or is it a problem that can be fixed? On most forums, the tab key or the enter key does the trick, but it doesn't seem to be working here.

I know how you feel Booboo, navigating this board takes some time. First, click on the forum you want to start a thread in. If you look in the left hand corner of a particular forum you want to start a thread in, there's a little pink square that says "Start a new Topic". It should automatically come up with a section for your title and your body when you click on it.

Dear Booboo,
Annafrederik is correct. If you have questions, the Help in the upper right hand corner of every page has answers to frequently asked questions. There is a topic on How to Start a New Topic in the help section.
We hope this helps

Thanks Annafrederik and Moderators. I tried again and it worked. It seems to work for me when I don't try to use either the tab or the enter button but just move the mouse pointer directly to where I want to post.
I think problems like this can depend often on which browser a person is using. Now that I've found what works for me, I'll probably be okay.

radiologist, if you click the Community Rules link near the top right of any page, you'll see the guidelines for posting here, which includes rules against advertising.
