This was mentioned in another forum, so I thought I'd post this here. I haven't done this but another member of BC.org did and said it was great and free.

I am doing the Livestrong program at the YMCA.  I feel so much better.  I have a free trainer and then go a second time during the week by myself.  This is a great program and gets you back to feeling more "yourself" after treatment.  I finally feel my "power" coming back and I'm happy with it. I am trying to exercise 5 times a week (very different for me).

Our YMCA is staring their first Livestrong program on Febuary 14th and I am really excited.  My personal trainer is actually going to be one of the trainers involved with the program and she is fantastic!  I have lymphedema and we work through what I can and cannot do with my left arm.  I do lift weights and wear my sleeve.  No problems and I think my arm feels better afterwards!

I'm starting the program on Monday.  Anyone else have any input about this program?

Just be careful to make sure the instructor knows about LE precautions - a couple of women over on the LE thread feel that their Livestrong instructors did not have adequate knowledge of LE and Livestrong either triggered or aggravated their LE.  Sounds like you have a great trainer, Shady!
