I am scheduled to start FEC on Wed Sept 14, I went to a naturopath and she gave me a probiotic multi strain 50 which is fine to take, however, my oncologist does not want me to take Unda 2/20/48 and Coriolus Versicolor during treatment.

I am a little confused and do not want to take anything that will put me at risk, but I am also scared of what is to come.

I am stage III, have scans booked for the end of september, I just can't see how I am going to get through the appointment to get the results,as they haven't been good so far.

Has anyone avoided the advice of their oncologist?  I am not sure that I can.  started oil pulling this morning with coconut oil.

    Hi Nicole,

When i Started FEC-T last year (Dec 2010) I was strongly advised by my Oncolgist, Chemo Dietician and Oncology Pharmacist NOT to take any vitamins/minerals/anti-oxidants during the chemo as they can stop the chemo from working. I am triple negative so I couldnt take anything with estrogen in it such as cranberry juice etc. I would listen to your oncologist BUT if its helpful have the Oncologist talk to the Naturopath to determine if these treatments can be taken together.

Be positive about your results, as hard as that can be. I have been through hell and back and now returned to the hell hole but am still smiling.
