Anyones Cancer respond to Antibiotics

Just wondering If anyones cancer respnded to antibiotics?

I don't have IBC but I do have a rare aggressive cancer called micropapillary and my tumor is very large 10cm and hurts me.

I ended up in the ER 2 weeks  after my first chemotherapy with a fever and stayed in the hospital for 3 days where they had me on an antibiotic drip, anyway I've noticed that my boob has stopped hurting and seems to be less inflamed.

I will definately be telling my Onc about this when I see her on wednesday, has this happened to anyone else??  Its quite strange isn't it?

That is strange.  I am not aware of any cancers that are infection based (some can result from a virus) so I doubt the antibiotics are actually affecting the tumor.  It looks like you were recently diagnosed.  Did you have a core needle biopsy?  I wonder if maybe you had a small infection from that was causing inflammation, which could be helped by the antibiotics.

No my Biopsy was a month ago, I find it very strange. I'm home from hospital now and they've sent me home with some oral antibiotics, different than the IV ones.

I guess If my cancer boob starts hurting again I'll know the antibiotics were affecting it. weird huh?
