Pet forum? and sad question? I have to give up my cat

Every one at my job lost our jobs 2 weeks before I was diagnosed awith BC and now I am on Medicaid with  very little money. I am moving into a studio that only allows one cat.  BoyCat, my daughter gave to me 4 years ago because her BF hated him.  (BF is gone)  I got Girl Cat to keep him company when I worked 60-70 hours a week.  BoyCat I helped raise from a bottle as he was abandoned and thinks I'm his Mom, After 2 years, Girl Cat came along. Boy seems to love her.  I don't want to break his heart, but my daughter said she would take  her.  I can only have one cat.  I have to move into a studio this weekend due to finances.  Do you think that this would be really cruel to separate them?  I can only have one    I feel so awful about this)

Have you discussed this with your landlord?  He might have a change of heart??? Offer a damage deposit or qua-lateral?

What an awful situation to have to be faced with during an already tough year.  I'm sorry.  Hope your landlord made an exception (maybe time to play the cancer card?) but glad your daughter could take one if it came to that. My cats were big comfort to me during my treatments. Hopefully your luck will take a well-deserved course correction and you'll be able to reunite your kitties.
