Any moms of newly diagnosed?

Options

I'm wondering if there are any moms of recently diagnosed BC young women? My daughter was just diagnosed with ICD on Monday. Still don't know what path she will take as we are getting a second opinion on Monday.

This has floored me. I shake, can't eat, can't sleep, and can't clear my head of all of the what if's. In the meantime I am trying to take care of my 2 grandchildren. Get them to school, homework, keep the house clean, laundry.  All of the things that should keep my mind busy and it won't. I break out into tears at the slightest possible thought.

I would love to find someone to talk to. I feel like my world is spinning out of control. My daughter is 30, has 2 boys, 8 and 6 and is newly divorced to add to everything else.

Take care everyone!

My daugher was diagnosed with IDC last October at the age of 25. I know just what you are feeling. I'll pm you with my contact info. Hang in there. I know when Kiri was diagnosed I was desperate to find another mother of a young BC patient. I'll pm you tomorrow morning--I just got in late from work. You and your daugher will be okay, it's a hell of a road that no one wants to travel but cancer is not nearly so terrifying once you know more about it and the huge advances that have been made in treatment.

(P.S. my daughter is doing fabulously. I don't post much anymore as she chewed me out royally for talking about her "on the internet" (this is the girl with over 1000 friends on facebook - LOL ). But she's a trooper and a fighter and she's doing fine. )
