A bit of hope

I saw a radiologist for a suspicious mass the other day that is most likely scar tissue. I told him I was BRCA1+ and had many "ectomies" in 18 months - lumpectomy, mastectomy, hysterectomy. He looked at me thoughtfully and said that with all the preventative strikes I've taken against recurrence, I have about the same odds as the "average" women of having breast cancer again.

To some, that might not be much...but to me, it is the world. There is hope. I sometimes get scared silly, but I keep reminding myself that I have my own story. I have my own journey, and there is HOPE!!  Peace and blessings to all...
