Hi all, My mom is 71, 4 1/2 years out from original dx of stage 2b and now 2 liver mets.  She is my inspiration and I want to do all I can for her.  Is it true that the cancer in "older women" is slower growing?  I have read different things.  Are there any long term stage iv older women who can "peel me off the ceiling".  Thanks and blessings. Mary

Mary,  I know there are some older women who are members of these boards, though so you should get some direct response here.  But you might try posting your questions on the Stage IV forum too.

You might also want to post your mom's pathology (ER/PR, HER2) - it helps us when we answer your questions.  There are several caretakers (daughters and sons) that post on there who's parent has mets.

I'm sorry your mom has had to join us.  She has a wonderful daughter who is caring enough to get some answers for her.
