Anyone know why they don't just do the Bart instead of the regular brca test if it's more accurate?

The Bart panel is not more accurate, but an added sequence testing for BRCA1/2 genes.

The BART test isn't more accurate than the "Comprehensive BRACAnalysis", the two tests look for different things.

The first test looks for any changes in the sequence.  Think of BRCA1 and BRCA2 like two large books.  The first test reads for any spelling mistakes.  It can also identify a small piece missing, like words from a sentence.  What this test cannot do is identify if there are large pieces missing from the genes, like pages missing from the book.  The initial test simply cannot detect such a change.

The BART test can detect large pieces that are missing.  On the other hand, BART cannot detect if there are spelling errors in the gene, therefore, if a person only had the BART test, then the majority of changes, which are due to spelling errors, would be missed.
