Side effects from Sentinel node biopsy dye

Options
I had a follow up visit with my BS yesterday and he said everything looked good and he wanted to see me in 3 months.    I told him I felt fine except my aerola feels hard & lumpy in spots and is very tender & sore.   He told me the blue dye from the sentinel node injection causes that & it may never go away.    I was kind of distraught to hear that.    Has anyone else had this problem?   I had a partial mastectomy on July 5th,  today is Aug. 3rd,  so it's been just about a month.    I am hoping at least the soreness goes away.   Frown  and my nipple seems to have tension on it and pulls in a little.   I was hoping that would go away too as I heal.   I am wondering if I should get a 2nd opinion?

You might try posting on the surgery forum to see if anyone else experienced this. I think nipple retraction and soreness would make it more difficult to do a proper self exam. Another doctor's opinion could be useful.
