radiation pain

I wasn't too concernerd about starting radiation and most people I talked to that had been through it , said it was a breeze compared to chemo and the like. Well, I just had my 3rd out of 36 treatments and during the actual raidiation, it felt like someone stuck a needle in my nipple...very quick but very painful and then when they moved the machine..again! I had been told that there is really no pain associated with radiation...so what the heck? Now I am scared ..waiting for that pain...and 33 more times....has antone else experienced pain during radiation?

Hi.............I finished Rads on June 15th..................I had a similar thing happen in the beginning, and I told the techs, and my RO............it wasn't a horrible pain, just a funny sensation right around the nipple area too.......................when I mentioned it to all of them.............they said..............oh you got a "zinger"......................they said sometimes t;hat happens........it did happen again, but it was nothing, jus this funny feeling........................they did say sometimes women do tell them they feel a sensation ..........................I was fine............also had 36, and 8 were boosts..............hang ;in there.
