I don't remember exactly, but I believe the main test was $3000 with the BART being an additional $1500.  Thankfully, my insurance paid for all of it.

    Good luck!

Yes, if I recall correctly ~ it was about $3000.  One unfortunate thing I found out AFTER all my testing was that apparently my insurance has a LIFETIME maximum of $5000 for genetic testing.  So between the BRCA, oncotype, and I also had the "tamoxifen metabolizing" test... I went  over and have to pay the difference.  Bummer.

My bill came in at $3200 back in October of 2009.

Mari, there's a section about genetic testing and its cost at this link of the main Breastcancer.org site. You'll also see more informative links down the left side of that page.

I also have relatives who has cancer and I feel for you guys!Cancer patients really struggle for the cost of thier treatment. For women breast cancer is very common and it it the second most commonly known cancer in the world. The cost of having breast cancer can devastate one's finances. Coverage helps, but most plans available to the regular customer are limited. Health care reforms aside, you simply must be prepared. Know what your health coverage covers and adjust accordingly. I have read an article which could help in lessening this crisis.Hope this helps.Article source: Dealing with the costs of breast cancer
