Could I have IBC?

So last year I had a rash on my breasts, Googled "rash on breasts", and discovered IBC. Of course I freaked out, but I have sensitive skin and had no other symptoms, and it quickly went away, so I moved on. Recently, however (the last week in June), I developed a small rash on my inner right breast. A friend assured me it was nothing more than a heat rash, and when I started itching underneath my breasts, it seemed to confirm her theory. I did my best to keep my breasts clean and dry and wore only cotton tops and purchased a cotton bra. But then welts started appearing on my breasts, and not just in the areas most predominantly affected by heat rash. They also appeared under the breasts and on my stomach as well, but IBC was in the back of my mind. When my hands, feet, and thighs became badly affected by welts and swelling earlier this week, it all pointed to an allergic reaction to some antibiotics I had just stopped taking at the time (Amoxillin for pericoronitis of a partially erupted wisdom tooth), but I still checked for signs of IBC, since my breasts are lightly flushed. For the past couple of days, my breasts have been a little tender and will feel dull pains now and then. My mother said it's because I've been poking and prodding at them, constantly examining them, plus I was on my period (which ended yesterday), and I don't have any of the big symptoms like peau d'orange or inverted nipples. But a couple of nights ago, the side of my left breast seems to have puffed out a little and hasn't gone back down. It's normally colored, no redness, but it has me a little concerned. Does this sound like IBC? Should I talk to my gynocologist about it? Is it just me being a hypochondriac?

I think anytime you are worried about something medical, you should ask your doctor.  Explain you fears and concerns as calmly as possible.  Most doctors will respond by offering assistance.  If you feel like you got brushed off, see someone else.  All that being said, you do sound like you're talking about an allergy to something, but if so, you still need a physician if it's not clearing up.
